The firm

History

For more than ten years, the Maffeis Law Firm has operated as a boutique firm, building on the extensive experience of Daniele, a Full Professor of Private Law. With over thirty years of professional practice in civil law, banking, finance, business law, and succession, Daniele is particularly skilled in litigation, as well as contract and corporate finance consulting. His academic career is equally notable, with a focus on civil law, banking, and finance law, including teaching roles in private law and corporate finance contract law.
Daniele has authored three monographs (on immoral contracts, conflicts of interest, and the prohibition of discrimination), contributed to the Cicu-Messineo-Mengoni-Schlesinger treatise, which was continued by Roppo and Anelli, on financial market contracts, and written encyclopedic entries on financial derivatives and discrimination law. He has also contributed to treatise volumes on sale and purchase agreements, collections of essays, and more than one hundred publications in leading legal journals in the fields of civil law, banking, and finance.

Over the decades, the constant and seamless integration of professional practice and academic research—real-world cases and the study of law—has enabled the firm to provide meticulous care for clients’ interests, adhering to the highest standards of legal rigor.

The firm collaborates with highly trained and experienced civil lawyers, including of counsel. Its practice areas cover civil, corporate, business, banking, finance, and probate law, with services divided between litigation in court and arbitration, as well as legal counseling.

The firm’s structure and size enable the meticulous handling of civil law issues across various market sectors, with a focus on finding solutions that are often innovative yet always rigorously aligned with business and property law.
